Considering the evolution of the European and Global health situation and the Farnesina (MAE) recommendation to avoid trips abroad except for strictly necessary reasons, at this moment the international mobility of students, teachers and technical-administrative staff, both outgoing and incoming, is suspended until further notice.
Now, therefore, it is not possible to sign the Erasmus Agreement to carry out “physical” mobility (in presence at the foreign office), nor to leave.
Departure expected by December 2020:
If you had planned to leave by December 2020, you can, by agreement with the foreign office, start the mobility by blended mode (consisting of a virtual period combined with a presence period). In this case, you must sign a specific agreement before the mobility starts.
Expected departure from January 2021:
If you planned to leave in the second semester (from January 2021), you are invited to complete the procedures requested by the foreign Universities (eg Application form), in order not to forbid yourself the possibility of completing the period abroad. Because of the uncertainty in the development of the pandemic, we reccomend you the greatest caution in purchasing travel tickets, choosing those with refund formulas for cancellation even close to the departure and/or with flexiblity in the dates of use. We invite you to frequently consult the UniGe website in order to keep yourself updated on decisions regarding mobility.
If you are abroad:
If you are abroad at this moment and you’re doing a “physical” mobility, you can stay abroad and complete your Erasmus with the planned financial contributions.
In this case we recommend you to register on the MAECI Website, managed by the Crisis Unit “Dove siamo nel mondo” and available at the link below, by entering the required data: name, city/country, university of destination, current address and period of permanence.
Instead, if you decide to come back to Italy, you can think about continuing your mobility period using the blended mode (consisting of a virtual period and a physical period). Furthermore, we suggest you to download the Unità di Crisi App in order to receive notifications while you pass through any areas at risk and real time updates about eventual dangerous situations, wherever they happen in the world.
